GoodHope Asia Holdings Limited (GAHL) is a Singapore based company having its Oil palm business in Malaysia and Indonesia, whose parent company is a well-established diversified regional conglomerate having other business interest in Breweries, Financial Services and Leisure sectors in South-east Asia. Our dedicated Management Services companies, is aggressively pursuing towards development of upto 100,000 Hectares of Oil Palm Plantations (currently having approximately 60,000 Hectares planted) and processing facilities on its own in addition to plantations through joint venture companies.
The business model of GAHL is to build and expand sustainable plantation projects in the region, focusing on adopting the industry’s best practices and deriving operational excellence. In line with our expansion plans and commitments for growth, we are now seeking to recruit high caliber and dynamic professionals to be based in our Jakarta Office;
SENIOR TRADER
Responsibilities:
* Plan, direct and co-ordinate the sales and trading of the organization’s palm oil products by performing the duty personally and through your team
* Responsible for the development and execution of edible oil trading strategies and hedging strategies
* Responsible for the development and maintenance of a profitable oil trading book in strict compliance with risk management policies and procedures
* Execute a sound hedging strategy to reduce our exposure to the market volatility, conduct market analysis, gather competitive intelligence etc on a continuous basis
* Ensure all relevant documentation related to trading activities is carried out in a timely manner whilst complying with the company’s policies & procedures.
Person Profile:
* Bachelors Degree in Business/Economics/Science or a related discipline
* Minimum of 10 years trading and risk management experience in the edible oil market
* Possesses extensive contacts and active networks within the palm oil and seeds oil industries
* Resourceful and versatile in planning and control
* Shows high level of integrity with values & ethics in the conduct of business.
* Highly analytical with good business acumen
